As the applications of synthetic turf continue to expand, so do the products offered. Many manufacturers of synthetic turf are augmenting the look and feel of the turf to further mimic the real deal. The addition of brown “dead thatch” and multi-colored “blades” of grass are making artificial turf almost indiscernible from a natural grass. With so many natural color combinations being added, “regional grass” colors are now options that property owners get to enjoy. Spines being engineered into the individual blades allow for a more resilient fiber and a more realistic textured look. These design features give property owners an even more attractive reason to go the synthetic route. An artificial turf lawn requires no water. It is always green, even during drought and watering restrictions. They do not need to be mowed or fertilized. The upfront cost of a synthetic lawn cannot be denied, but the long run investment quickly becomes realized as the look and feel of the lawn endures without any additional expenditure on maintenance.
