Synthetic Grass delivers the best playground surface.

Jacksonville, FL

IntelliTurf recently installed a 5,000 sq. ft. playground surface for the city of Jacksonville at one of their public parks.  The former surface was wood mulch that was continually displaced which would result in a non-conforming and non-performing surface.  With 6 feet of fall height protection under the structure and 9 feet of protection under the swing set area, this public park will have a safe and reliable surface for years.  The padding actually resides under the artificial grass surface and is protected by the synthetic grass.  No displacement due to traffic or weather is possible since the turf is protecting the cushion below.

This protection of the cushion layer is unique to synthetic grass playground surfaces.  Other options such as wood mulch, pour in place rubber or rubber mulch are all exposed to the elements and are not protected from high traffic.  Direct interaction with these playground surfaces by the children playing and the exposure directly to rain, wind and runoff allow for mulch to move and pour in place to disintegrate.  By covering the cushion with synthetic grass and having over 1 inch of round sand infill down in the turf fibers, the possibility of displacement is eliminated.  The turf actually protects the cushion so the fall height protection is protected.

Whether it is a backyard play set or like this public park, a 5,000 sq. ft. commercial playground, there is really only one choice for your next project or existing area, artificial grass with fall height padding below.  Years of great looking synthetic grass, virtually no maintenance and consistent performance.
